Pueblo West is a census-designated place west of Pueblo with 33,086 people at the 2020 census. It covers roughly 49 square miles along US-50, with I-25 on its northeastern edge and Lake Pueblo State Park along its southern boundary.

Built from rangeland

The land was undeveloped rangeland, once used by Ute and Comanche people and later for ranching, before developer Robert P. McCulloch and his company created the Pueblo West Metropolitan District in 1969.
